8M Construction Digest continues to research for and publish construction, engineering and technical information for social, economic and technological development.
This issue strengthens one of our long-term goals: to become the leading catalyst of the construction industry in Uganda and the wider region. In this regard we are happy to associate with leading providers of excellent construction products and services, such as M/s Depo Uganda, in starting the long-awaited symposia where trumpets calling for a value-for-money construction industry will be blown.
Let us blow your trumpet!
M/s Depo Uganda has associated with 8M Construction Digest to hold an upcoming “Construction Symposium and Product Launch” on 15th September 2017 at the Kampala Serena International Conference Centre. The Guest of Honour will be the Prime Minister, The Rt Hon Dr Ruhakana Rugunda. The topic for discussion is “Quality and Value in Construction”. Courtesy of Depo Uganda, the Friday afternoon gathering will be treated to a cocktail.
It gives us pleasure, therefore, that 8M Construction Digest has started the awaited symposia to discuss issues we write for the public. We are inviting, among others, key personalities in government departments, corporations, authorities and parastatals; professionals (architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, lawyers, accountants, etc); the business community (in construction materials, manpower, tools, equipment, marketing, etc); the heads, scholars, researchers and students in institutions of learning; people in prominent NGOs and international bodies; and members of the general community.
As we discuss the decayed good construction standards of the yesteryears, 8M Construction Digest asks our stakeholders and readers to reflect on the eight M’s of construction, i.e. Mindset, Markets, Methods, Management, Money, Materials, Manpower and Machinery.
As ususal, we invite and offer:
- Professionals to forward articles for FREE publication;
- The business community to advertise and sponsor information;
Policymakers, government departments, institutions, NGOs, international bodies, and the general public to sponsor information and read us.
